Where a college's figure could not be sourced on the same basis it is omitted rather than estimated — an absent college is obvious to you; a wrong one is not. Closing merits moved roughly 1–2.5 points between the 2024–25 and 2025–26 cycles.

Notice also how tightly clustered positions 5 to 15 are: 0.41 points covers eleven colleges. At that density, the difference between them is often decided by fractions candidates cannot control, which is a good argument for ordering your preference form by where you actually want to study rather than by predicted merit.

Reading this table without being misled

  • This is not a quality ranking. It is the order in which seats filled, which reflects demand, location and reputation together. It is not a statement about teaching.
  • Lahore colleges cluster at the top largely because of location preference. That is worth knowing when you order your choices.
  • Positions move between merit lists. Being below a line on the first list is not the same as missing the college — how the lists work.
  • Other pools exist. Quota and self-finance seats at these same colleges close at different points.

Working out which of these you can reach

  1. Compute your aggregate, not your MDCAT percentage

    (Matric% × 0.10) + (FSc% × 0.40) + (MDCAT% × 0.50). The aggregate calculator does it in your browser.

  2. Find where it falls in the table

    Then allow 1–2.5 points of movement in either direction for cycle-to-cycle drift.

  3. If you are short, convert the gap into marks

    Divide the aggregate shortfall by 0.28. That is roughly how many MDCAT marks it represents — the reverse calculator does it exactly.

  4. Check the other pools before concluding

    Quota and self-finance may reach further than open merit for you.

Merit formula 10% Matric + 40% FSc + 50% MDCAT (MERIT_WEIGHTS in lib/site.ts). MDCAT total 180 marks; passing 99/180 MBBS. NO fee figures, seat counts, faculty or quality rankings are published: none are sourced. Punjab closing merits moved roughly 1-2.5 points between the 2024-25 and 2025-26 cycles, so these are a reference point, not a prediction.
