How the formula works
Each component is first converted to a percentage of its own total, then multiplied by its weight. The three weighted figures are added to give your aggregate.

What is the MDCAT aggregate formula for 2026?
PMDC uses 10% Matric + 40% FSc + 50% MDCAT. Each component is converted to a percentage first, then weighted and added. For example, 86.36% in Matric contributes 8.636 points, not 86.36.
Is the MDCAT marked out of 180 or 200?
The MDCAT 2026 paper has 180 MCQs and your score is out of 180. There is no negative marking, so your score equals your number of correct answers.
What aggregate do I need for MBBS in a government college?
It varies by province, college and year, and closing merit moves every cycle with the size and strength of the applicant pool. Check the published merit lists for the colleges you are applying to rather than relying on a single national number.
How do A-Level students calculate FSc marks?
Use your IBCC equivalence certificate marks, not your raw A-Level grades. IBCC converts A-Level results into an FSc-equivalent total, and that equivalence figure is what admission offices use.
Does Matric really matter if it is only 10%?
It is the smallest component but it is fixed and cannot be improved, so it sets a floor on your aggregate. A 10-point gap in Matric percentage moves your aggregate by a full point, which is often the difference between merit lists.
